About the Course

The Laguna Seca Raceway course consists of a 2.23-mile-long paved racing track with eleven turns, including the famous "Corkscrew." The facility hosts a wide variety of racing events, exhibitions and entertainment, including auto and motorcycle racing, cycling events, and live concerts.

Not Just a Racetrack

In addition to motorcycle and auto racing events, Laguna Seca is a popular cycling destination, a fun campground and a scenic outdoor recreation area. Visitors looking for a thrill can enjoy motorcycle instruction classes and auto driving or racing schools on the track, and cyclists can join the monthly twilight rides. Campers can choose from tent and RV campsites with or without hookups. Visitors can enjoy bike trails, a pistol and rifle shooting range, picnic areas, and off-road vehicle tracks.

What is the Corkscrew?

The Corkscrew is a hair raising, hard-left, hard-right combination of turns on the Laguna Seca raceway track. With a12 percent drop at the left-hand entry and an 18 percent drop at the right-hand turn apex, the elevation drops 109 feet, which is just over 10 stories.
